I didn't mean to take three years to launch Vegan SoulFlour. It just happened that way. Sometimes life throws curveballs. Sometimes it throws grenades. Whether it was inspiration or psychosis that led me to start this journey when I did, we shall soon see! My guess: it's a little bit of both.
Although season one of Vegan SoulFlour is postponed to 2025, I am truly excited for that which is rising now. This excitement is tempered, however, with all the feels that come with caring for a parent in decline. Again.
Home hospice care has begun for my father. As his live-in sole caregiver, maintaining my well-being has been… so-so.
On the days that I have the energy to do something for myself, I try to prepare meals that will nourish my body, mind, and heart and be enticing enough to attract a reprise even when I'm too sad to eat.
Because I must process grief in real time in order to get through it, because I must practice enough self-care to provide memory care, and because I am Vegan, on a micro-budget, and have expensive taste --
